Derived from the Greek word “sappherios,” sapphires reveal an array of colors, rank 9 on the Mohs Hardness Scale, and lead tales and legends with their mystical powers. Ranking just next to diamonds in hardness, sapphires are also found suspended inside mechanical watch gears. For centuries, cultures, celebrities, and designers express a unique affinity to this enchanted gemstone.
